Asset data can come from a number of sources but primarily the focus of this article is on data from the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). When we talk about the CMMS we are mainly focusing on transactional data from work orders. This data is typically used to develop the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the maintenance function and as such most of us are very familiar with it.
